Welch said of menstrual inequality, access to hygiene products and education on the topic: “I don’t think tampons and tampons are the solution to problems like these. period poverty. “It’s all driven by capitalism and the need for constant growth and profits [and] ultimately those products continue to cycle because they need to be acquired continuously.”
